Dear Weld RE-4 Community,

I am overjoyed to announce the outcome of the 2022 Election. Bond measure 4B and mill levy override 4C were approved by voters, 54.9% to 45.1% and 55.4% to 44.6% respectively. On behalf of the district, I want to express my sincere and deep gratitude for our communities’ support of our children and their educational future. The funds from these measures will help us to relieve capacity struggles, address critical infrastructure needs, and recruit and retain high quality staff.

The hard work continues; now staff will strive to bring your vision to reality.

• Communication and Transparency — We’ve made a commitment to continued communication and transparency, and this will not stop with the results of this election. We will continue to provide regular updates every step of the way. Our bond website will become the home for the latest information on each project related to measure 4B.

• Construction Project Contractors — We secured Construction Manager / General Contractors (CMGC) through a competitive selection process. With each major project, we will provide opportunities for subcontractors to meet the CMGC and bid. The first of these opportunities is for the two elementary projects from 4:30-5:30 p.m. November 30 at Windsor High School.

• Bond Oversight Committee — The Bond Oversight Committee will ensure accountability for the use of the bond measure funds. This committee will be representative of our community and will provide a regular report to the Board of Education on the progress of the bond construction projects, as well as how funds are being utilized in alignment with Board and voter approval.
