The Board of Education appointed Raymond Ruth as the new Director for District A at a special meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 3. A swearing in will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the District Office.
Ruth will serve through November 2023, at which time the seat will go before voters for election.
“I want to serve as a member of the Board of Education to provide service to my community, to ensure that kids come first, and that we build a district that properly represents our community,” Ruth said. “We live in a special place, and I think that it is important to ensure that it stays that way. I would like to help in any way that I can to make that a reality.”
The Vice President of Global Product Tech Support for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Ruth leads the Global Technical Team, supporting the development of new products, field service engineering teams, and customer escalations. Ruth worked for Hach prior to his most recent role for Beckman Coulter, and served in the United States Air Force. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University.
He and his wife Christen are parents of three daughters, two of which attend district schools and one a 2022 Windsor High School graduate.
Ruth has previous experience serving his community through coaching soccer, wrestling, and football, as well as serving on Greeley’s Citizen’s Budget Advisory Committee.
