District to Host Safety Exercise July 12

As part of the Weld RE-4 School District’s emergency preparedness efforts to keep students and staff safe, we will host a full-scale emergency response exercise from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Windsor High School.

This exercise will simulate an emergency scenario in real time and will be completed in partnership with the Town of Windsor, Town of Severance, Windsor Severance Fire Rescue, Weld County, and UCHealth.

On the day of the exercise, individuals in the area may see:

  • An increased presence of law enforcement and emergency response vehicles
  • A large number of individuals at Windsor High School
  • Loud noises

The simulation on July 12 is just one aspect of our safety preparedness efforts. To learn more about the Safety & Security Department, visit the department's webpage.
