EMPOWER:

Foster quality staff to provide stability and instruction to optimize student success

We believe our students deserve a quality education from outstanding instructors that care about students and their path to success. We look to foster a positive climate and culture, a sense of belonging, and professional growth for staff amidst fierce competition from regional school districts that benefit from the recently revised School Finance formula.

We will accomplish this priority by:

1. Providing information on school finance and long range plans

  • Status: In Progress
  • Implementation of the School Finance Education campaign is anticipated for summer 2026.
  • The Long Range Facility Planning Committee has re-engaged.

2. Implementing career pathways, succession planning, and leadership opportunities

  • Status: In Progress
  • Human Resources is working with Maintenance Department on pathway opportunities, as well as strengthening partnerships with the teacher cadet program and TEACH Colorado.

3. Outperforming the state average retention rate for licensed staff

  • Status: Complete for 2025 - 2026
  • The district outperformed the state's all-staff retention rate — 82.35% vs. 79.82%.

We will measure success through:

  • Culture of Excellence and Ethics survey
  • Staff retention rates
