CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

Career and Technical Education (CTE) leverages workforce and education systems to ensure that each learner has quality experiences that lead to lifelong career success.

In our CTE pathways, students are provided with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in their future careers and become lifelong learners. Our CTE pathways prepare learners to be post-secondary workforce ready by introducing them to workplace competencies and making academic content accessible to students in a hands-on context.

CTE prepares students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand careers. Students learn real-world knowledge and skills, and are provided opportunities to engage in industry-focused student organizations, explore concurrent enrollment options, earn industry-recognized certifications, and participate in meaningful work-based learning experiences. Research shows that students in CTE courses perform better and are more engaged, leading to higher graduation rates through helping students see the relevance of their learning for their future.
