Diesel Technology
The Aims Diesel Mechanic Degree program combines classroom knowledge with extensive hands-on learning. Students start by learning the basics common to automotive and diesel pickups and trucks, emphasizing safety throughout. Students will gain essential diesel diagnostic and repair knowledge and skills that will help them start their career.
The Diesel Technology Program is a two-year program taught by Aims Community College and located at Severance High School. Students at Severance High School and Windsor High School are eligible to participate in the Diesel Technology Pathway. Courses are scheduled for back-to-back blocks (in other words for a full morning or a full afternoon, every other day). Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from Severance High School.
Students will be included in the Snap-on Tool Program, earning tools as they progress through the degree program.
