Chromebook Return After May 26

Starting Tuesday, May 26 we’ll be accepting Chromebook returns at the District Office (1020 Main Street, Windsor) during regular business hours 7:30 AM - noon; 1-4:30 PM. 

Please make sure the student’s name is written on a piece of paper and placed between the screen and keyboard.


Learn About Weld RE-4's Remote Learning Plan

Colorado schools are currently closed.
On April 6, 2020 we launched our remote learning plan to provide flexible remote learning to all Weld RE-4 students. 

Weld RE-4’s approach to remote learning acknowledges that the learning experiences teachers design when school is in regular session cannot simply be replicated through remote learning. In particular, the invaluable social interactions and relationships which occur naturally every day among students and between teachers and students cannot be recreated in the same way. However, we believe that relationships can flourish and quality learning can occur at a remote location and that engaging in authentic learning experiences remotely is possible. 

In Weld RE-4, our shift to remote learning began when we closed schools on March 13, 2020. Intense preparation and planning took place from March 16 - April 3, when we worked to align remote learning with our vision, while thinking intentionally about the opportunities and possibilities that come with the challenging circumstances of continuing learning in the midst of a national COVID-19 pandemic. As a district, our goals for remote learning include: 

  • Reconnecting students and families to their school community.

  • Supporting staff with clear guidance and reasonable expectations. This will not be like our regular classrooms and we do not intend to replicate them online.  

  • Supporting families and students with resources that will help maintain learning, focusing on engagement, compassion, and flexibility during professionally and personally stressful times for everyone.

  • Providing a reasonable amount of tools and resources, careful not  to overload staff or families.  

  • Collecting feedback on remote learning structures and supports and adjusting our plans as needed.

  • Focusing on relationships and support; adjust re-entry plans based on what students need in their academic journey.
