Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE)

ACE is a multi-occupational pathway that facilitates individualized, developmentally appropriate programming for CTE students identified as Special Populations. ACE programming is developed through collaboration with educators, business representatives, and community stakeholders to create locally responsive, relevant work-based and school-based learning experiences. ACE programming is delivered through:

  • Classroom instruction (contextual learning)
  • School-based, community-based, and work-based learning
  • Personal development through (SC)2

Student Organization: Successful Career Students of Colorado (SC)2

(SC)2 is the Colorado-based organization for students in ACE programs. CTE students in ACE programming experience the ultimate goals of developing skills in the areas of self-knowledge, human relations, employability, career awareness, independent living, transition planning, leadership, community service, and workforce readiness skills.
