The Board of Education officially accepted the resignation of Member Aaron Smith and declared the vacancy at its November 14 meeting. The Board will fill the vacant seat by appointment, and applications are now open.
Bond measure 4B and mill levy override 4C were approved by voters, 54.9% to 45.1% and 55.4% to 44.6% respectively. We want to express our sincere and deep gratitude for our communities’ support of our children and their educational future. The hard work continues; now staff will strive to bring your vision to reality.
In the event of inclement weather or potential inclement weather, our staff will monitor the current conditions and forecasts, test road conditions, and discuss with other entities in the area. If conditions warrant, three potential scenarios may occur.
Accountability for the bond measure funds will be provided by the Bond Oversight Committee. This committee will be representative of our community and will provide a regular report to the Board of Education on the progress of the bond construction projects, as well as how funds are being utilized in alignment with Board and voter approval.
