    How to Help

If you are interested in supporting student basic needs in Weld RE-4, you have a few options!

    • Donate to the Weld RE-4 Foundation, which helps fund basic hygiene items, household items, cold weather items, school supplies, and more to meet student needs.
    • Gift Cards for food ($10-$50) help ensure that our high schoolers are able to eat with friends sometimes, and support students who may be financially struggling on field trips when the group lunch plan is “eat on your own”.
    • New/unopened/sealed packages of:
      • Toilet paper
      • Paper towels
      • Tissues
      • Lysol/Clorox wipes
      • Fragrance free/sensitive skin laundry detergent and softener - preferably in sheets rather than liquid
      • Fragrance free/sensitive: children’s 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash, adult 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, body wash, lotion
      • Deodorant (any kind/size)
      • Small toiletry bags (fabric or plastic)
      • Shaving cream/razors
      • Feminine hygiene products (ideally for teens)
    • New, empty water bottles (any kind/size)

    Other Items

We do not currently accept clothing.  However, there are some great options to donate to!

    • Serve 6.8 supports families in Northern Colorado with clothing items, and helps ensure Weld RE-4 families can receive clothing even if they cannot get to one of the Resource Center sites. Check out their donation site for most-needed items and donation locations.
    • Mary’s Cradle helps families in need of diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, and community resource information.  Donations of clothing or other items can be made during their open hours: Thursdays from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm and Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Located in Classroom 109 at Our Lady of the Valley Church (1250 7th St, Windsor)

We do not currently accept food items.  Here’s where to donate food items:

    • Windsor Severance Food Pantry provides food boxes to families in the Weld RE-4 district boundaries. Please see their donation page for most-needed items.  Donations can be brought during their open hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. 1051 Walnut Street, Windsor.  970-329-1588.
    • Weld County Food Bank partners with Weld RE-4 to provide the Weekend Food Bag program.  This program provides nutritionally balanced packs of food for students at risk of hunger to take home over the weekend for added nutritional support through the weekend.  Donations can be brought to the Food Bank on Mon-Fri between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.  Located at 1108 H Street in Greeley.
