My name is Jennifer Hansen, and I am running for the District E seat on the Weld RE-4 School Board. My husband and I moved to the Windsor/Severance community in 2000. We have three children of which two have graduated, one from Windsor High School and one from Severance High School, and the third is currently a junior at Windsor High School. I began volunteering in our schools 16 years ago as a parent volunteer at Tozer Elementary and continued onto Mountain View Elementary as my children grew. I have worked as a paraprofessional at Windsor High School, and a substitute teacher for various schools within the district. These experiences have deepened my understanding and passion for our students and school communities and has motivated me to continue to serve by being a part of our school board.
Serving has always been a passion of mine. During periods over the last 23 years, I have had the honor of serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and I currently serve on the Water Valley Master Association HOA Board. I am a lifelong learner, and I am looking forward to continuing my service in our district. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our students, teachers and community members and to continue to support the growth of our school district.
