Our District Vision in Action
In the past few weeks, our schools have come alive. Student work is hanging from the walls, and nearly every corner of each campus (inside and out) is buzzing with questions, conversations, and topics of exploration. Our students are learning content and learning about themselves. This is evident in preschool on up. The Greeley Tribune recently wrote a story about the Windsor High School FFA floriculture team. Most of the students featured knew very little about FFA or floriculture before taking Introduction to Agriculture their freshman year. Today, they are a state-winning team! This is a perfect example of our vision for Weld RE-4: Inspire Innovation. Empower Success. Our schools equip each student with the tools and skills to be agents of their experiences in and beyond our district.
2021-2022 Health & Safety Measures
Visit weldre4.org/COVID for current COVID protocols in schools as approved by the Board of Education. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see an active dashboard of district and school case counts. Under the current motion approved by the Board:
  • If any school is found to have a total number of positive cases above 3% of the school’s enrollment within that current window, they will be required to have masks implemented for a two-week window. The mask mandate will be lifted after two weeks, if the number of positive cases drops below 3% of the school’s enrollment.
  • At any time that a single class, K-5, has an outbreak of 5 kids or more, that class will be transitioned into remote learning for a 14-day period.
November 2021 Bond Update
The Weld RE-4 Board of Education unanimously voted to refer bond and mill levy override initiatives to the November 2021 ballot. Board President Jennifer Lieber said regarding the bond, “With the addition of over 800 students in our schools this year, growth in our community is even more aggressive than demographers projected. In approving this motion, our board did its most essential work—work that is in the best interests of our students.” See more about the November 2021 bond package here.
